...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 930 PM MST THIS
EVENING FOR NORTHEASTERN PIMA AND SOUTH CENTRAL PINAL COUNTIES...

At 709 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across the warned area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has
fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
         drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Marana, Avra Valley, Pinal Airpark, Picacho Peak State Park, Red
  Rock and Dove Mountain.

This includes Interstate 10 between mile markers 218 and 239.

This includes the following Flash Flood Prone Locations...
Sasco Rd at Santa Cruz Wash.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

The National Weather Service in Tucson has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  North Central Pima County in southeastern Arizona...

* Until 1030 PM MST.

* At 622 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain
  have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
  shortly.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
           flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. This
           excessive rainfall will drain into the Brawley Wash.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Three Points, Tucson Estates, Saguaro National Park West, Picture
  Rocks and Ryan AirField.

This includes the following highways...
Route 86 between mile markers 146 and 159. Route 286 between mile
markers 42 and 45.

This includes the following Flash Flood Prone Locations...
Manville Rd at Brawley Wash and Twin Peaks Rd between Sanders and
Sandario.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood

  Tucson, Oro Valley, Marana, Casas Adobes, Drexel Heights, Flowing
  Wells, Pascua Pueblo Yaqui Reservation, Tortolita, Tucson Mountain
  Park, Saguaro National Park West, Tucson Estates, Valencia West,
  Catalina Foothills, Picture Rocks, Ryan AirField and Dove Mountain.

This includes the following highways...
Route 86 between mile markers 160 and 170. Route 77 between mile
markers 70 and 76. Interstate 10 between mile markers 240 and 258.

This includes the following Flash Flood Prone Locations...
1st Ave north of Fort Lowell Rd, Stone Ave at Mabel St, Silverbell Rd
near Ina Rd, Camino De La Tierra at the Rillito River, Camino de
Oeste from Sweetwater to Gates Pass, Ironwood Hills Dr from Shannon
to Camino de Oeste, Mark Rd from Jeffery Rd to Los Reales Rd, Overton
Rd at Canada del Oro, Sunset Rd west of Camino de Oeste and Black
Wash at S Camino de Oeste.

  have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are
  possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
  to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
           flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Mainly rural areas of Maricopa County.

This includes the following streams and drainages...
  Pump Mine Wash, Tiger Wash, Centennial Wash and Browns Canyon Wash.
