This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for southwest Iowa, west central
Iowa, east central Nebraska, northeast Nebraska and southeast
Nebraska.
.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.
Warm, dry, and windy conditions are expected Thursday, leading to
dangerous wildfire conditions. Afternoon winds gusts are expected in
the 40-45 mph range. A Red Flag Warning has been issued for Thursday
afternoon and evening.
Winds remain gusty Thursday night into early Friday behind a strong
cold front moving through the region. Gusts up to 50-60 mph will be
possible, primarily in northeast Nebraska and west-central Iowa. A
High Wind Warnings will go into effect Thursday evening for
northeast Nebraska and west-central Iowa. Secure loose outdoor
objects. Travel may become difficult for high profile vehicles.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.
Another round of strong winds and wintry weather (50-70% chance) are
expected to impact the region Saturday night into Sunday.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.
Weather hazards expected...
Limited non thunderstorm wind risk.
Elevated fire weather risk.
DISCUSSION...
Elevated fire weather conditions will occur along and north of
I-44 Thursday, but recent rainfall should limit concerns.
Wind speeds will increase through the day, peaking overnight
tonight with sustained winds of 15 to 25 mph and gusts up to 30 to
40 mph, especially west of Highway 65.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.
The next chance of precipitation comes Sunday. There is a 50 to 80
percent chance for a quick line of thunderstorms to move through
during the day Sunday, bringing a 15 percent chance for wind gusts
exceeding 60 mph, mainly east of Highway 65.
Additionally with this system, wind gusts up to 30 to 40 mph will
be possible along with light snow overnight Sunday. Any
accumulations would be light due to the warm ground.

This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of Central Kansas,
South Central Kansas and Southeast Kansas.

Very dangerous fire weather conditions and strong southwest winds
will impact central and south central Kansas today. The strong
southwest winds, warmer temperatures, and low relative humidity
values will create extreme fire danger levels this afternoon. See
latest Red Flag Warning and Wind Advisory for additional details.
Very high fire danger will affect southeast Kansas. Avoid outdoor
burning today as any fire would be very difficult to impossible to
control.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday
A powerful weather system is forecast to move across the region on
Sunday and could cause unusually strong north winds to overspread
Kansas. Stay tuned for updates as we refine the details and possible
impacts from this system.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and
portions of north central Kansas.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.
Widespread critical fire weather conditions are expected across
the local area today, with a Red Flag Warning in effect from 12pm
to 9pm CDT.
Strong northerly winds are expected across northeastern portions
of the area behind a cold front tonight, with winds gusting up to
60mph. A High Wind Warning is in effect for northeastern portions
of the area from 9pm to 3am.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.
Near-Critical fire weather conditions are possible across
portions of the area each afternoon Friday through Monday.
Wind gusts in excess of 50 MPH along with some light snowfall
accumulations up to one inch, will be possible across the local
area Sunday. All areas will receive strong winds Sunday, with
areas north of Interstate 80 most favored to receive some light
snowfall accumulations.
