...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM TO 10 AM EST
WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 10 above expected.

* WHERE...Portions of Big Bend Florida and south central Georgia.

* WHEN...From 1 AM to 10 AM EST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin
  is exposed to these temperatures. An extended period of freezing
  temperatures could cause ruptured water pipes.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Wear protective clothing such as a hat, facemask and heavy gloves or
mittens if you have plans to be outdoors.

To prevent freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes
they should be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those
that have in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover
above-ground pipes to protect them from freezing.

  of 8 to 16 degrees.

* WHERE...All of Central Alabama.

* WHEN...Until 9 AM CST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin
  is exposed to these temperatures. An extended period of
  subfreezing temperatures could cause pipes to burst.

* WHAT...For the Freeze Warning, sub-freezing temperatures as low as
  24 expected. For the Cold Weather Advisory, very cold wind chills
  as low as 16 expected. For the Freeze Watch, sub-freezing
  temperatures as low as 23 possible.

* WHERE...Portions of northeast and northern Florida and southeast
  Georgia.

* WHEN...For the Freeze Warning and Cold Weather Advisory, from
  midnight tonight to 10 AM EST Wednesday. For the Freeze Watch,
  from Wednesday evening through Thursday morning.

* IMPACTS...The cold wind chills as low as 15 degrees could result
  in hypothermia or frostbite if precautions are not taken.
  Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is
  exposed to these temperatures. Wind chill values can lead to
  hypothermia with prolonged exposure. Appropriate action should be
  taken to ensure tender vegetation and outdoor pets have adequate
  protection from the cold temperatures. Young children, the elderly
  and the homeless are especially vulnerable to the cold. Take
  measures to protect them.
