...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT THROUGH MONDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...There is an increasing risk for flooding this upcoming
  weekend
  and into early next week.

* WHERE...Portions of Puerto Rico, including the following areas,
  Central Interior, Culebra, Eastern Interior, Mayaguez and
  Vicinity, North Central, Northeast, Northwest, Ponce and Vicinity,
  San Juan and Vicinity, Southeast, Southwest, Vieques and Western
  Interior and Virgin Islands, including the following areas, St
  Croix and St.Thomas...St. John...and Adjacent Islands.

* WHEN...From late tonight through Monday evening.

* IMPACTS...An increase in shower and thunderstorm activity is
  expected late tonight into Saturday morning as Erin moves north of
  the region.

The period most likely to see the heaviest rainfall activity
associated with Erin will be Saturday and Sunday, with possible
impacts continuing into Monday morning. The highest rainfall totals
are expected across portions of southern and eastern Puerto Rico, as
well as the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Based on the latest forecast, shower activity on Saturday will be
focused on the northern slopes of Puerto Rico and the northern U.S.
Virgin Islands, shifting to southern and eastern Puerto Rico as well
as the U.S. Virgin Islands on Sunday.

Rainfall accumulations of 2 to 4 inches are expected, with isolated
amounts up to 6 inches, particularly across the U.S. Virgin Islands
and southern and eastern Puerto Rico. Elsewhere, 1 to 2 inches are
likely, with isolated amounts up to 4 inches expected.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Given these totals, there is an increasing potential for
    urban and small-stream.
    flooding, flash flooding and landslides.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared
to take action should flooding develop.
