Heat index values between 105 to 108 are expected again Wednesday.
Heat of this magnitude and duration will pose a moderate risk for
those sensitive to heat such as older adults, infants, athletes,
outdoor workers, and those without effective cooling.

Additionally, isolated strong to severe storms are possible Wednesday
afternoon and early evening, mainly along and north of Highway 64.

Finally, a wet and unsettled pattern is expected from Thursday and
into the weekend. Periods of heavy rain will be possible which could
also flooding.

possible this afternoon and evening.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Heat index values will reach the upper 90s to lower 100s this
afternoon, which may cause heat impacts especially for vulnerable
populations and those in heat-sensitive industries.

Thunderstorms are possible, especially late this afternoon through
the overnight. A few thunderstorms could produce damaging winds.
Despite the recent abnormally dry conditions, there is also the risk
for excessive rainfall producing localized flooding, with the
greatest threat through late tonight north of Kentucky Highway 80 and
the Hal Rogers Parkway.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Thunderstorms are possible at times Wednesday through Monday, with
the highest probability Wednesday afternoon and evening. Some storms
could produce excessive rainfall causing localized flooding issues,
especially in far eastern Kentucky.
