...WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 5 PM SATURDAY TO 11 AM EDT
SUNDAY...
* WHAT...Southeast winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph
expected with isolated gusts to 60 mph possible along the highest
ridgelines and favored terrain for downslope winds.
* WHERE...Portions of southwest Virginia and northeast, southeast,
and southern West Virginia.
* WHEN...From 5 PM Saturday to 11 AM EDT Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A strong east to southeasterly wind field
aloft associated with the remnants of Isaias will move over the
region Saturday afternoon into Sunday. Interaction with the higher
terrain will help to transport these higher wind speeds to the
surface.

expected over higher terrain above 1,500 feet and in the valleys
immediately northwest of the Pine, Black, Cumberland, and Log
Mountains. Communities at greatest risk for the strongest wind
gusts include Cumberland, Eolia, Chenoa, Frakes, and Mayking.
Locations further removed from these taller prominent mountains
should expect southeast winds of 10 to 15 mph with occasional gusts
of 20 to 35 mph.
