Scattered showers and storms are expected tonight with locally heavy
rain and isolated flooding being the primary threats. In more
organized storms, gusty winds are also possible.

Several rounds of showers and storms are expected Thursday through
Sunday. These repeated episodes of heavy rain may lead to flash
flooding.

and central Kentucky.

Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to
continue this afternoon and evening before diminishing after sunset.
Heavy rainfall, gusty winds, and cloud to ground lightning will be
the main hazards with thunderstorms.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected through the upcoming
period. Thunderstorms will be capable of producing torrential
rainfall, gusty winds, and lightning. Heavy rainfall rates may lead
to localized flash flooding.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotters may be needed to report flooding and strong thunderstorm
wind gusts on Thursday.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

Storms this afternoon and evening will move from west-southwest to
east-northeast at 25 to 30 mph.

Heat index values ranging from the upper 90s to the lower 100s
across much of the Tennessee valley this afternoon and early
evening.

Isolated to scattered storms are expected through this evening
with the greatest coverage along and north of interstate 40.
Strong and gusty winds up 50 mph and localized flash flooding
possible with the strongest storms.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday

Heat index values will continue reach into the upper 90s to
lower 100s most days across many Valley locations through early
next week. An increase in heat indices to 105 degrees is possible
for the latter half of next week.

Daily chances for storms will continue with a few storms capable
