* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of central North Carolina, including the
following counties, Franklin and Nash.
* WHEN...Until 545 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 347 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of
rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Bunn, Spring Hope, Castalia and Pilot.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 341 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms is beginning to move east of the advisory area.
Light rain and residual runoff will continue to produce minor
flooding in poor drainage locations. Between 1 and 3 inches
of rain have fallen.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Louisburg, Ingleside, Gillburg and Afton.

- At 311 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms is beginning to move east of the advisory area.
Residual runoff will continue to produce localized minor
flooding in poor drainage locations. Up to 2 inches of rain
have fallen.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Wake Forest, Garner, Fuquay-Varina,
RDU International, Apex, Holly Springs, Morrisville, William
B Umstead State Park, Research Triangle, Lake Wheeler,
