...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...Portions of southwest Arizona, including Parker,
  Quartzsite, and Yuma, and California, including the following
  areas, Joshua Tree NP, Blythe, and Imperial Valley.

* WHEN...Through late tonight.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Low-water crossings may be flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Abundant moisture has resulted in thunderstorms producing
    heavy rainfall. Localized rainfall amounts over 1-2 inches
    are likely to occur leading to flash flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared

* WHERE...A portion of Southwest California, including the following
  areas: Apple and Lucerne Valleys, Coachella Valley, Riverside
  County Mountains, San Bernardino County Mountains, San Diego
  County Deserts, San Diego County Mountains and San Gorgonio Pass
  near Banning.

* WHEN...Until 2 AM tonight.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Low-water crossings may be flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Scattered showers and thunderstorms will spread northward
    across the area through tonight with heaviest rainfall
    through the early evening. Some thunderstorms may produce
    locally heavy rainfall, which may lead to flooding. The most
    likely peak hourly rainfall is one-half to one inch with
    isolated maximum hourly rainfall to 2 inches.

  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water
  crossings may be flooded.
