Oregon Department of Environmental Quality has issued an Air Quality
Advisory until noon PDT Monday.

For the Smoke Air Quality Advisory, wildfires burning in the region
combined with forecasted conditions will cause air quality to reach
unhealthy levels.

Pollutants in smoke can cause burning eyes, runny nose, aggravate
heart and lung diseases, and aggravate other serious health
problems.  Limit outdoor activities and keep children indoors if it
is smoky. Please follow medical advice if you have a heart or lung
condition.

elderly, as well as persons with respiratory problems. Those
individuals who are sensitive to increased particulate matter or
smoke are encouraged to avoid prolonged or strenuous outdoor
activity during this advisory. Open burning is prohibited by air
quality rule. It is also recommended that all other individuals
limit prolonged or strenuous activity outdoors.

...AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON PDT MONDAY...

Oregon Department of Environmental Quality has issued an Air
Pollution Advisory...in effect until noon PDT Monday.

Wildfires burning in the region combined with forecast conditions
will cause air quality levels to fluctuate and could be at unhealthy
levels.

Smoke levels can change rapidly depending on the weather. People at
risk include infants and young children, people with heart or lung
disease, older adults and pregnant people.

People can take the following precautions to protect their health:

* Follow local burn restrictions to prevent deteriorating air
  quality.
* Avoid strenuous outdoor activity during periods of poor air
  quality.
* People with heart or lung problems and young children are
  especially vulnerable. These people should stay indoors while smoke
  levels are high.
* Use certified High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filters in
  indoor heating, ventilation, cooling and air purification systems.
* Avoid using wood-burning stoves and other sources of indoor smoke
  if possible.

* IMPACTS...Smoke can irritate the eyes, lungs and worsen some
  medical conditions. People most at risk to adverse health effects
  include infants, young children, people with heart or lung
  disease, older adults, and pregnant women.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Smoke levels can change rapidly depending on
  weather. Check current conditions on the Oregon Smoke Information
  Blog, DEQ`s Air Quality Index, or by downloading the free
  OregonAIR app on your smartphone.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

* Stay inside if possible. Keep windows and doors closed.

* WHERE...All Areas on the Nez Perce Reservation.

* WHEN...Until Monday, July 20, 2026, at 10:00am.

* IMPACTS...Those who experience health effects from smoke include
  children under 18, elders, pregnant women, people with asthma
  or have difficulty breathing, diabetes, heart problems or
  otherwise compromised health, and people who have high exposure
  (those who work, exercise, or spend extensive time outdoors).

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Under the most severe pollution level, sensitive groups should avoid
outdoor exposure and limit indoor activities, and everyone should
restrict their outdoor activities.
