...ELEVATED FIRE DANGER THIS AFTERNOON...

South-southwesterly winds gusting 25 to 30 mph, dry fuels, and low
relative humidity near 30 percent will result in elevated fire danger
this afternoon across portions of central, east-central, and
southeast Illinois. Isolated light rain showers may reduce the
threat for some locations, but areas that do not receive rain will
have elevated fire danger through the afternoon.

Burning is discouraged under these conditions. Any fires that
develop will spread rapidly. Discard cigarettes properly and use
extra caution with farm and outdoor equipment.
