...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM PST SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected above 3000 feet. Total snow
  accumulations above 3000 feet around 6 to 12 inches. Total snow
  accumulations up to 2 inches valleys through Thursday night.

* WHERE...Fourth Of July Pass, Wallace, St. Maries, Fernwood, Dobson
  Pass, Mullan, Lookout Pass, Pinehurst, Osburn, and Kellogg.

* WHEN...Until 4 PM PST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Winter travel conditions expected.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow will become heavy at times Friday
  through Saturday over Lookout Pass. Snow will briefly change to
  rain at Lookout Pass Friday afternoon before changing back to rain
  Friday evening.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency. For the latest road
information in Idaho, call 5 1 1.

...PROLONGED SNOW EVENT...

.A plume of snow will continue to impacted north central Idaho into
west central and southwest Montana tonight.  The snow activity will
decrease in intensity during the day on Friday, then a second plume
of precipitation will impact the region late Friday through Saturday.

...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 5 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 5 PM
MST SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. There is a likelihood of major winter
  weather impacts. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 4 inches in the
  valleys and 8 to 14 inches in the higher terrain including Lookout
  Pass and Evaro Hill.

* WHERE...I-90 Lookout Pass to Haugan, Highway 200 Thompson Falls to
  Plains, Highway 200 Trout Creek to Heron, and Evaro Hill.

* WHEN...From 5 PM this afternoon to 5 PM MST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions
  could impact the Thursday evening and Friday morning commutes,
  especially over higher passes.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

  Pass.

* WHERE...Highway 11 Pierce to Headquarters, Highway 12 Lowell to
  Lolo Pass, Elk River, Elk City, Pierce, and Dixie.

* WHEN...From 4 PM this afternoon to 4 PM PST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The
  hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday evening and Friday
  morning commutes, especially over higher passes.
