TUESDAY AFTERNOON FOR ELEVATIONS ABOVE 5500 FEET...
* WHAT...For this morning`s Winter Storm Warning, additional snow
accumulations of 1 to 3 inches. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.
For the Winter Storm Watch, heavy snow possible. Total snow
accumulations between 1 and 4 feet possible from Friday afternoon
through Tuesday afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 50 mph.
* WHERE...West Slope Northern Sierra Nevada and Western Plumas
County/Lassen Park.
* WHEN...For the Winter Storm Warning, until 8 AM PST this morning.
For the Winter Storm Watch, from Friday afternoon through Tuesday
afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The
hazardous conditions could impact the morning and evening
commutes. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow levels around 6000-7000 feet this
morning, rising through the day and into Friday. Snow levels
Friday afternoon around 6000-7000 feet, lowering to around
4500-5500 feet over the weekend. A brief break in snowfall will be
possible from late Saturday afternoon into the overnight period
with lighter snowfall amounts.

* WHERE...Greater Lake Tahoe Area, and Lassen-Eastern Plumas-Eastern
Sierra Counties.
* WHEN...From 10 AM Friday to 10 PM PST Saturday.
