At 347 PM EDT/247 PM CDT/, Doppler radar was tracking a strong
thunderstorm near Jamestown, moving northeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Jamestown, Russell Springs, Horntown, Christine, Eli, Cundiff,
Gadberry, Jericho, Webbs Cross Roads, and Royville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

THROUGH 415 PM EDT...

At 342 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8
miles southeast of Downtown Asheville, or near Fairview In Buncombe
County, moving east at 5 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Downtown Asheville, East Asheville, North Asheville, Black Mountain,
Swannanoa, Fairview In Buncombe County, B.R. Parkway-East Asheville
To Craggy Gardens, B.R. Parkway-Nc Arboretum To East Asheville,
Warren Wilson College, and Biltmore Forest.

At 338 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 6
miles north of Waynesville, or near Lake Junaluska. This storm was
nearly stationary.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Waynesville, Canton, Lake Junaluska, Clyde, Smoky
Mountains-Cataloochee, Maggie Valley, Cove Creek, and Fines Creek.
