Gusty winds and building waves will bring conditions hazardous to
small craft later today into tonight.

Conditions hazardous to small craft will continue through early
Wednesday afternoon. Another period of gusty winds and high waves
is expected Thursday into Friday morning.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of Lake Superior
and the Nearshore waters of western Lake Superior.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Southwest winds are expected to increase this morning ahead of
approaching cold front. Wind gusts of 25 to 30 knots will create
conditions hazardous to small craft today. Winds will be shifting
to the west and then northwest this evening into tonight following
the cold front. Expect winds to remain breezy into Wednesday
morning.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday

Northwest winds gusting up to 25 knots will continue Wednesday
morning before diminishing. Conditions are expected to be
hazardous for small craft on Wednesday morning, especially along
the South Shore.

Conditions hazardous to smaller vessels may be possible on
Thursday as another cold front sweeps through western Lake
Superior.

northwest winds with some gusts across the lake approaching gales.

A few gusts approaching gale thresholds are possible through
Wednesday morning.
