...The Flood Advisory is extended for the following rivers in
Michigan...

  Sturgeon River near Alston affecting Houghton and Baraga Counties.

...The Flood Advisory continues for the following rivers in
Michigan...

  Sturgeon River near Chassell affecting Houghton and Baraga
  Counties.

.Snow melt and increased reservoir releases will cause the river
flows to become high. Expect minor flooding downstream from the dam.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you encounter a flooded roadway, turn around and find an
alternative route.

...FLOOD ADVISORY FOR SNOWMELT NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY THURSDAY
AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Elevated river levels caused by snowmelt continue.

* WHERE...Sturgeon River near Alston.

* WHEN...Until early Thursday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 8.0 feet, Homes and structures along the low lying
  areas and numerous roads become impacted by flood water. In
  Houghton County...Sturgeon River Road...Aho Road...and Rajala Road
  are impacted. In Baraga County...Sturgeon Road...Halonen Road and
  Usitalo Road are impacted. Along Froberg Road...Tahtinen Road...
  Irwin Road...Oliver Road...and Shirley Road are impacted.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:30 AM EDT Sunday the stage was 7.7 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 7.5 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will fall to 7.5 feet tomorrow morning.
    It will then rise to 7.8 feet Tuesday morning. It will fall
    to 7.4 feet early Thursday morning. It will then rise to 7.7
    feet early Saturday afternoon. It will fall again and remain
    below flood stage.
  - Action stage is 7.5 feet.
  - Flood stage is 8.0 feet.
