This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central and
southern Minnesota, and west central Wisconsin.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Isolated to scattered thunderstorms can be expected through this
evening. A few storms may be severe over mainly central and
southern Minnesota, with the primary hazards being large hail and
damaging winds.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Heavy rain is the primary threat from multiple rounds of showers
and thunderstorms along a stalled boundary through early next
week. A few storms could also occasionally become severe.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SKYWARN spotter activation is not expected to be needed through
tonight.

and the Nearshore waters of western Lake Superior.

.DAY ONE...This afternoon and Tonight

Gusty winds in the Twin Ports may lead to dangerous conditions for
small craft into this evening. Thunderstorm chances return this
afternoon and tonight.


.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

Thunderstorms remain possible through Sunday. A few storms may be
strong to severe. Southeasterly wind gusts of 20 to 25kts are
possible Friday morning from Grand Marais to Grand Portage,
leading to hazardous conditions for small crafts.

Strong northeast winds 20-30 knots with waves of 3 to 6 feet are
expected on Sunday, with a 30 to 40 percent chance for gales.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of northeast
Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin.

.DAY ONE...This afternoon and Tonight

Scattered thunderstorms are possible today, but are not expected
to be severe. Additional thunderstorms are possible this evening
into early Friday, and a few of these storms could be strong to
severe west of St. Louis County to Pine County, Minnesota. Main
threats with stronger storms are damaging winds and large hail.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

Additional rounds of thunderstorms are possible Friday afternoon
through Saturday morning from the Brainerd Lakes area eastward
across northwest Wisconsin. Isolated to scattered severe storms
could produce damaging winds, large hail, an isolated tornado or
two, and heavy rain are possible. By Friday night into Saturday,
the threat of localized flooding increases as thunderstorms and
heavy rainfall continue to move over this same area.

Skywarn spotters are encouraged to report hail of any size and
rainfall amounts to the National Weather Service.

northeast. Severe threat low.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

Scattered showers and storms possible throughout the day Friday,
especially in the afternoon and evening. There is a Marginal Risk
for severe weather across northern Iowa. Damaging winds will be
the primary threat. Storm chances continue Saturday.

The weekend will be hot with heat indices over 100 degrees
possible.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of northwest Iowa,
west central Iowa, southwest Minnesota, northeast Nebraska, south
central South Dakota, and southeast South Dakota.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight

Heat indices may approach or briefly exceed 100F in south central
South Dakota this afternoon, mainly west of the James River
Valley from Mitchell to Yankton.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

Hot and humid conditions expand east Friday through the weekend.
Afternoon heat index readings will likely peak in 95 to 103 degree
range Friday and Saturday, with values as high as 105 to 110
degrees possible Saturday. Take care to protect yourself and heat-
sensitive individuals from the heat. Sunday should still prove to
be hot, but the heat index should remain in the 90s.

Low (20%) chances for showers and storms Friday night through
Sunday, with somewhat higher chances by Sunday night. Details on
timing and severe weather potential is uncertain.

size of tennis balls, gusts to 70 mph, and possibly a couple
tornadoes. There remains uncertainty on coverage and timing of
storms.
