...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CST
WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Wind chills of 5 to 15 degrees and actual air temperatures
  of 8 to 16 degrees.

* WHERE...All of Central Alabama.

* WHEN...Until 9 AM CST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin
  is exposed to these temperatures. An extended period of
  subfreezing temperatures could cause pipes to burst.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.

Keep pets indoors as much as possible.

Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure
portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills
inside.

To prevent freezing and possible bursting of pipes they should be
wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly.

...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CST THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Very low wind chills in the single digits tonight as low as
  10 degrees Wednesday night, with daytime temperatures remaining
  near or below freezing.

* WHERE...Portions of southeast Arkansas, northeast Louisiana, and
  central, east central, north central, northeast, northwest, south
  central, southeast, southwest, and west central Mississippi.

* WHEN...Until 9 AM CST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin
  is exposed to these temperatures. Wind chill values can lead to
  hypothermia with prolonged exposure. Very cold temperatures can
  lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...This will be the coldest night and
  significantly colder than last night.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.

Keep pets indoors as much as possible.

Make sure outdoor animals have a warm, dry shelter, food, and
unfrozen water.

Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure
portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills
inside.

Extra precautions should be taken tonight to protect exposed and
poorly insulated pipes from freezing.
