...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHERN MARTIN COUNTY THROUGH
700 PM EDT...

At 615 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Lewiston Woodville, or 11 miles south of Rich Square, moving
southeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Williamston, Gold Point, Hamilton, Oak City, Everetts, Hassell, and
Beargrass.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for
eastern North Carolina.

...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT CENTRAL BERTIE COUNTY THROUGH
700 PM EDT...

At 629 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Lewiston Woodville, or 13 miles west of Windsor, moving southeast at
30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph, pea size hail, heavy rain, and
         frequent lightning.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible. Reduced visibility and minor flooding possible.
         Frequent cloud to ground lightning strikes.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of central Bertie
County, including the following locations... Republican, Woodard, and
Quitsna.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for
northeastern North Carolina.
