NASH...NORTHERN SAMPSON...SOUTHEASTERN HARNETT...NORTHEASTERN
CUMBERLAND...CENTRAL WAKE...SOUTHWESTERN WILSON AND JOHNSTON COUNTIES
THROUGH 1145 PM EDT...

At 1046 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Raleigh to 6 miles south of Garner to near
Benson to near Godwin. Movement was east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Raleigh, Cary, Goldsboro, Smithfield, Garner, Clayton, Dunn, Zebulon,
Benson, and Fremont.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight EDT for
central North Carolina.
