SUNDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...Portions of southeast New Mexico, including the following
  areas, Central Lea, Eddy County Plains, Guadalupe Mountains of
  Eddy County, Northern Lea and Southern Lea and Texas, including
  the following areas, Andrews, Borden, Central Brewster, Chinati
  Mountains, Chisos Basin, Crane, Davis Mountains, Davis Mountains
  Foothills, Dawson, Eastern Culberson, Ector, Gaines, Glasscock,
  Guadalupe and Delaware Mountains, Howard, Loving, Lower Brewster
  County, Marfa Plateau, Martin, Midland, Mitchell, Pecos, Presidio
  Valley, Reagan, Reeves County Plains, Scurry, Terrell, Upton, Van
  Horn and Highway 54 Corridor, Ward and Winkler.

* WHEN...From Saturday afternoon through early Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water
  crossings may be flooded.

...FLOOD WATCH NOW IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH SUNDAY
AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following
  counties, Brown, Callahan, Coke, Coleman, Concho, Crockett,
  Fisher, Haskell, Irion, Jones, McCulloch, Menard, Nolan, Runnels,
  San Saba, Schleicher, Shackelford, Sterling, Taylor, Throckmorton
  and Tom Green.

* WHEN...From Saturday afternoon through Sunday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - A weak cold front sagging across the Texas South Plains and
    Red River Valley will trigger thunderstorms across the Big
    Country and Concho Valley Saturday afternoon, with the storms
    expanding southward into the  Heartland Saturday night into
    Sunday morning.

    These storms will produce very heavy rainfall once again,
    with many areas seeing rainfall totals of 2 to 5 inches
    Saturday Night and Sunday. Isolated totals over 8 inches are
    possible. With soils already saturated, this will quickly
    lead to flash flooding.

  possible.

* WHERE...Portions of central, north central, and northeast New
  Mexico, including the following areas, in central New Mexico,
  South Central Mountains. In north central New Mexico, East Slopes
  Sangre de Cristo Mountains and Southern Sangre de Cristo
  Mountains. In northeast New Mexico, Northeast Highlands.

* WHEN...From Saturday afternoon through Saturday evening.

* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Storm
  drains and ditches may become clogged with debris.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Thunderstorms will produce locally heavy rainfall, with rates
    of up to 2 to 3 inches per hour, over the Hermits Peak Calf
    Canyon burn scar and Ruidoso area burn scars Saturday
    afternoon and evening. There is a high risk for flash
    flooding on and near those burn scars.

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...Portions of east central and northeast New Mexico,
  including the following areas, in east central New Mexico, Curry
  County, De Baca County, Guadalupe County, Quay County and
  Roosevelt County. In northeast New Mexico, Eastern San Miguel
  County, Harding County and Union County.

* WHEN...Until 6 AM MDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur
  in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Repeated rounds of storms producing locally heavy rainfall,
    with rates of up to 2 to 3 inches per hour, are expected
    overnight across parts of east central and northeast NM.
    Total rainfall amounts overnight will range from 1 to 2
    inches, but locally higher totals near 4 inches are possible.
