...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM MDT THIS MORNING THROUGH THIS
AFTERNOON...
* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
* WHERE...The Southern and East Slopes of the Sangre de Cristo
Mountains, including the Hermits Peak Calf Canyon burn scar.
* WHEN...From 11 AM MDT this morning through this afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks on and below the
Hermits Peak Calf Canyon burn scar.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Storms with heavy rainfall rates in excess of 1 inch per hour are
expected to develop over the peaks of the Sangre de Cristo
Mountains then slowly drift eastward over the Hermits Peak Calf
Canyon burn scar during the early to mid-afternoon.
