* WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 5 to 15 above expected.
* WHERE...Portions of southeast New Mexico and all of West Texas.
* WHEN...Until 8 AM MST /9 AM CST/ Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Wind chill values can lead to hypothermia with prolonged
exposure.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.
Bring pets indoors, or ensure that they have warm, dry shelter.
Make sure outdoor animals have a warm, dry shelter, food, and

* IMPACTS...The cold wind chills as low as 6 above zero could result
in hypothermia if precautions are not taken.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must
go outside.
Keep pets indoors as much as possible.
Make sure outdoor animals have a warm, dry shelter, food, and
unfrozen water.
Make frequent checks on vulnerable family, friends, and neighbors.
