Weather hazards expected...

  Limited Snow Risk this Morning in Northwestern Indiana
  Significant Snow Risk tonight near Lake Michigan.
  Limited Thunderstorm Risk tonight.

DISCUSSION...

Slushy snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches may occur in Lake,
Porter, Newton, and Jasper counties this morning.

Intense lake effect snow is expected tonight in northeastern
Illinois and northwestern Indiana. Snow rates locally in excess of
3 inches per hour will lead to dangerous travel conditions
especially near Lake Michigan.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.

Monday morning...
  Significant Snow Risk near Lake Michigan.
  Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central Illinois, east
central Illinois and west central Illinois.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Northwest winds will gust over 30 mph much of the day, causing
difficult travel for high profile vehicles.

Periods of snow showers are expected through tonight. While most
areas will see little impact, locations from near Champaign and
Danville northward may see heavier amounts of an inch or two
tonight, due to lake effect snow off Lake Michigan. Sharp visibility
reductions will accompany the heavier snow showers.

Wind chills in the single digits are expected early Monday morning.

possible in this band.

This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of southwest Lower
Michigan.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Locally heavy lake effect snow will be possible this morning along
the lakeshore north of Muskegon, making travel hazardous in
reduced visibilities and potentially slippery conditions.
Quick accumulations of snow will be possible tonight across far
southwest Lower Michigan and also around US-127 mainly between
Saint Johns and Mount Pleasant. Slippery travel will be possible
as temperatures fall into the 20s and perhaps upper teens.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday

Additional accumulations of lake effect snow Monday and Monday
night combined with colder temperatures could make travel
conditions hazardous.
