This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southern
Illinois, southwest Indiana, western Kentucky, and southeast
Missouri.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight
A Heat Advisory is in effect through Tuesday evening for most of
the Quad State area. Refer to the statement for more details.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible today and into
the evening. Brief heavy downpours and lightning will be the
primary concerns.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday
A Heat Advisory is in effect through Tuesday evening for most of
the Quad State area. Refer to the statement for more details.
Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible Tuesday. The main
threats will be damaging winds and large hail.
Wildfire smoke may lead to poor air quality at times through the
upcoming week.

Carolina...east Tennessee and southwest Virginia.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight
Scattered showers and thunderstorms possible this afternoon and
evening. A few storms may become strong to severe, producing
strong gusty winds and localized flooding.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday
Thunderstorm activity to be more confined to the higher terrain
Monday afternoon and evening. Heavy downpours and gusty winds
could accompany any storms.
A possibly strong cold front will arrive between Tuesday and
Wednesday. Stay tuned to updates to the forecast, as details are
uncertain at this time.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for a portion of eastern Kentucky.
.DAY ONE...Tonight.
Thunderstorms are possible at times through tonight. A few of the
thunderstorms could produce heavy rainfall, potentially resulting in
isolated instances of flooding. Storms could also produce strong
straight line wind gusts.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.
Additional thunderstorms are likely in Southern Kentucky tomorrow and
on Monday, then across the entire area on Tuesday into Wednesday. Some
of the thunderstorms on Sunday and Tuesday could produce heavy
rainfall and result in isolated instances of flooding.
A few strong to severe thunderstorms are also possible on Tuesday
and Tuesday evening, with damaging straight line wind gusts the main
threat.

Spotters are encouraged to report any instances of heavy rain, high
water, flash flooding, and/or wind damage between now and Sunday
night. Spotter activation may be needed again on Tuesday.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central Illinois, east
central Illinois, southeast Illinois and west central Illinois.
.DAY ONE...Tonight.
Scattered thunderstorms are expected this afternoon and evening.
Some of the storms may be strong to severe, with locally damaging
wind gusts the primary severe risk.
Heat and humidity will continue today, with afternoon heat index
values peaking between 100 and 105 degrees.
Minor flooding will continue on the Illinois River near Beardstown.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.
Smoke from Canadian Wildfires will spread across central and
southeast IL Sunday, causing air quality that is Unhealthy for
Sensitive Groups, and an Air Quality Alert is in effect.
Afternoon heat index values near 100 are possible again Monday and
Tuesday.
Thunderstorms are possible again Monday evening into Tuesday ahead
of a cold front. Strong to severe storms may occur north of I-72.
Lingering flooding on the Illinois River will subside late this
weekend.

Spotter activation may be needed until around 11 PM tonight.
Expected storm motion is toward the southeast around 20 mph.
