* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of south central Kentucky, including the
  following counties, Clinton, Cumberland and Metcalfe.

* WHEN...Until 1000 PM CDT Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads
  remain closed due to flooding. Streams continue to rise due to
  excess runoff from earlier rainfall. Low-water crossings are
  inundated with water and may not be passable. Expect many areas of
  slow moving or standing water. It will take several hours for all
  the water from these storms to work through local drainage systems
  in urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1259 PM CDT, emergency management reported heavy rain in
    the warned area due to thunderstorms. Flooding is already
    occurring. Between 3 and 11 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
    expected.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Albany, Edmonton, Burkesville, Leslie, Grider, Bow, Bakerton,
    Ellington, Tanbark and Waterview.

  Flood waters approach multiple properties near Traces on the
  Cumberland.

  - At 11:15 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 50.2 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 42.0 feet.

  At 20.1 feet, Launching of paddle craft is prohibited.
  At 32.0 feet, Green River Ferry closes to all traffic due to high
  water.

  March 2008 flood the river remained above this level from late
  afternoon March 19 through April 9.   As mid-March 2011 high water
  was receding...SR 257 south of Washington reopened when Shoals was
  at 10.5 feet and falling steadily for the past 2 days.

    18.7 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours

.Recent torrential rainfall over the Wabash and White River basins
has lead to rising levels along the Wabash River. Minor flooding
continues at New Harmony, with a projected crest of 17.4 feet
forecast tomorrow morning.

For the Wabash River...including New Harmony...Minor flooding is
forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
