This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the Florida Keys and
adjacent coastal waters.
.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.
A strengthening low pressure system over the Mid-Atlantic will
continue moving north northeast today ending up over New England
by this afternoon. Its corresponding cold front will continue to
press south to southeast along the Florida Peninsula before
stalling somewhere over South Florida. As a result, isolated
thunderstorms are possible late this afternoon and tonight. The
primary hazards will be lightning strikes, brief heavy downpours,
and locally gusty winds.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.
An unsettled weather pattern is expected through much of the
period as the moisture from the front remains over the area and an
upper level low meanders for several days. This will lead to
isolated thunderstorms for Sunday and scattered thunderstorms for
Sunday night through Wednesday, with isolated thunderstorms
expected again for Wednesday night through late week. The primary
hazards will be lightning strikes, heavy downpours, and locally
gusty winds.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotter activation is not expected at this time.
