.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

.RIP CURRENT AND SURF IMPACT...
A high risk of life-threatening rip currents exists at all
central Florida Atlantic beaches, as well as very rough surf.
Entering the water is highly discouraged. If caught in a rip
current, relax and float. Don`t swim against the current. If able,
swim in a direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape,
face the shore and call or wave for help.

.WIND AND SEA IMPACT...

A Small Craft Advisory is in effect for all the local Atlantic
waters for breezy northeast winds of 15 to 20 knots with gusts to
25 to 30 knots and seas of 6 to 10 feet. The Small Craft Advisory
for the nearshore Volusia County waters is forecast to expire this
afternoon due to decreasing seas to 5 to 6 feet. Small craft will
still need to exercise caution in this area.

.RIVER FLOOD IMPACT...

The Saint Johns River will remain nearly steady or slowly fall
through the week, prolonging impacts. At Astor, the river level will
remain above the major flood stage of 4.0 feet. At Deland, the river
is forecast to remain steady, staying in major flood with a stage
forecast near 5.4 ft. The river at Sanford is forecast to remain
steady in moderate flood. The river level at Geneva is forecast to
stay in moderate flood and drop only slightly to 9.7 ft by mid to
late week.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.
A long fetch of east northeast winds over the Atlantic will
persist through the middle of the week. As a result, hazardous
boating and surf conditions are forecast to continue, with a High
Risk of rip currents and rough surf. Boating conditions will
remain poor into this weekend.

River flooding will continue along the middle Saint Johns River
for the foreseeable future.
