...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana...

  East Fork White River near Rivervale...and near Bedford.

  White River at Edwardsport down to Hazleton.

.Following heavy rainfall earlier this week...minor flooding
continues on the lower White River...and on the East Fork White at
Rivervale...with brief minor flooding expected on the East Fork
White at Bedford Saturday night into Sunday.  Flooding will end
early next week on the East Fork White...and the White River at
Edwardsport...while continuing into the mid-week at Petersburg and
Hazleton.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...East Fork White River near Rivervale.

* WHEN...Until late Monday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 22.0 feet, A few local county roads begin to flood
  and are impassable. These include Buddha Road south of the gage
  and Lawrenceport Road. All local roads across the East Fork White
  River are threatened by high water, and some are closed. Flooding
  of agricultural lands in Lawrence County is in progress.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:30 PM EDT Friday the stage was 21.7 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 9:30 PM EDT Friday was 21.7 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    late Sunday evening and continue falling and remain below
    flood stage.

* IMPACTS...At 20.5 feet, County Road 250 West from State Road 56
  floods and blocks the vehicle access to Dodge City.  During the
  March 2008 flood the river remained above this level from late
  afternoon March 19 through April 9.   As mid-March 2011 high water
  was receding...SR 257 south of Washington reopened when Shoals was
  at 10.5 feet and falling steadily for the past 2 days.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:45 PM EDT Friday /7:45 PM CDT Friday/ the stage was 20.5
    feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:45 PM EDT Friday /7:45 PM CDT Friday/ was 20.6
    feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 20.6
    feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below

  the vicinity of submerged Pottsville Road. Oil stripped fields
  flood. Flood gates must be installed at Hazleton.

    tomorrow evening to a crest of 20.2 feet early Sunday

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Illinois...Indiana...

  Wabash River at New Harmony affecting Posey, Wabash, Gallatin,
  White and Gibson Counties.

For the Wabash River...including New Harmony...Minor flooding is
forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY EVENING TO LATE
WEDNESDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Wabash River at New Harmony.

* WHEN...From Saturday evening to late Wednesday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 15.0 feet, The river overflows low ground on the
  Illinois side.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 11:30 AM CDT Friday the stage was 14.3 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    late tomorrow evening to a crest of 15.4 feet Monday evening.
    It will then fall below flood stage Wednesday afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    15.4 feet on 04/24/2006.
