...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Indiana...Illinois...

  White River at Petersburg down to Hazleton.

  Wabash River at Mount Carmel.

.Minor river flooding continues through at least Wednesday...on the
White River below the confluence of the East Fork White...and on the
Wabash River at Mount Carmel.  River levels in these areas will rise
or remain near steady through at least Monday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Additional information is available at www.weather.gov/ind.

The next statement should be issued Sunday afternoon by around 200
PM EDT /100 PM CDT/.

* WHEN...Until late Friday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 22.9 feet, Water begins to flow over River Road just
  north of Fifth Street in the Mount Carmel area.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:45 PM EDT Saturday /7:45 PM CDT Saturday/ the stage was
    21.2 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:45 PM EDT Saturday /7:45 PM CDT Saturday/ was
    21.2 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 22.8
    feet Monday morning. It will then fall below flood stage late
    Thursday evening.
  - Flood stage is 19.0 feet.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...White River at Petersburg.

* WHEN...Until late Wednesday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 20.5 feet, County Road 250 West from State Road 56
  floods and blocks the vehicle access to Dodge City.  During the
  March 2008 flood the river remained above this level from late
  afternoon March 19 through April 9.   As mid-March 2011 high water
  was receding...SR 257 south of Washington reopened when Shoals was
  at 10.5 feet and falling steadily for the past 2 days.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:45 PM EDT Saturday /7:45 PM CDT Saturday/ the stage was
    18.5 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:45 PM EDT Saturday /7:45 PM CDT Saturday/ was
    18.5 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 20.2
    feet Monday evening. It will then fall below flood stage late
    Wednesday morning.
  - Flood stage is 16.0 feet.

* IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Most of the low bottomlands flood.
  Flooding begins in higher bottomlands. High water affects any
  residents in Pottsville river cabins. Pottsville Road...North C
  Street on river side of railroad tracks and Catt Street near U.S.
  Highway 41 are flooded. Water is near or starting on Giro Road in
  the vicinity of submerged Pottsville Road. Oil stripped fields
  flood. Flood gates must be installed at Hazleton.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - There is no current observed data.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    late Wednesday evening and continue falling and remain below
    flood stage.
  - Flood stage is 16.0 feet.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is occurring.

* WHERE...A portion of southwest Indiana, including the following
  counties, Gibson and Pike.

* WHEN...Until 245 PM CDT /345 PM EDT/ Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 832 AM CDT /932 AM EDT/, local law enforcement reported
    flooding across Gibson and Pike Counties, with numerous rural
    and county roads across the counties flooded, along with
    water running across IN-64 east of Oakland City. Between 5
    and 11 inches of rain have fallen over the past 72 hours.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Princeton, Fort Branch, Oakland City, Petersburg, Haubstadt,
    Owensville, Winslow, Patoka, Francisco, Somerville, Hazleton,
    Spurgeon and Mackey.
  - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
    expected.

.Additional heavy rainfall received across the basin will bump the
Patoka River up near Princeton into moderate flood soon. It is now
forecast to crest 1.2 feet above moderate, by Thursday evening, July
2nd.

For the Patoka River...including Princeton...Moderate flooding is
forecast.

    following day, Friday, July 3rd. It will then begin to fall
    and is forecast to fall below flood stage Monday, July 6th.
  - Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
