  White River at Elliston.

  White River at Hazleton.

  White River at Petersburg.

  Wabash River at Mount Carmel.

.Minor to moderate flooding continue on the White River and minor
flooding continues on the lower Wabash at Mount Carmel due to heavy
rainfall last week. Additional rainfall of half an inch to 1.5
inches today through Wednesday night was included in the forecast.
The crest on the White is past Edwardsport and expected to reach
Hazleton on  Friday. The crest on the Wabash should reach Mount
Carmel on Sunday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

  at this level on March 6 2011...flooding local roads behind the
  levee.  Flooding not nearly as bad as June 2008 levee failure.

  - At 7:00 AM EDT Tuesday /6:00 AM CDT Tuesday/ the stage was
    21.6 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 7:00 AM EDT Tuesday /6:00 AM CDT Tuesday/ was 22.4
    feet.
  - Forecast...The river will fall below flood stage late
    Thursday evening to 13.7 feet Friday evening. It will then
    rise above flood stage Saturday evening to 15.7 feet early

  have to evacuate.  Backwater affects some residents along local
  streams.  Extensive flooding is in progress.  Dillman Road (CR
  1000 W) immediately north of Indiana 450 just west of Williams is
  flooded by as much as 2 feet of water.

* IMPACTS...At 28.0 feet, Beginning April 25, 2011 and continuing
  through May 8, 2011 three county roads were closed because of East
  Fork White River flooding in northern Dubois County.  Portersville
  Rd W was closed in two locations...just east of CR 500W and
  between CR 650W and CR 660W.  One other county road was flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:30 AM EDT Tuesday the stage was 27.4 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 10:30 AM EDT Tuesday was 27.4 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 27.7
    feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage Monday
    evening.
