...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana...

  White River at Hazleton.

.Minor flooding is expected to continue on the White River at
Hazleton into Saturday,.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Additional information is available at www.weather.gov/ind.

The next statement should be issued Saturday afternoon by around 200
PM EDT /100 PM CDT/.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL LATE TOMORROW EVENING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...White River at Hazleton.

* WHEN...Until late tomorrow evening.

* IMPACTS...At 22.0 feet, In agricultural season, extensive flooding
  of bottomlands and some of the higher bottomlands is in progress.
  High water surrounds residents in river cabins.  Oil fields and
  local roads flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - There is no current observed data.
  - Forecast...The river will fall below flood stage late
    tomorrow morning to 11.4 feet Monday evening. It will then
    rise above flood stage Thursday morning to 16.2 feet Thursday
    evening. It will fall below flood stage again Friday, April
    25.
  - Flood stage is 16.0 feet.

* IMPACTS...At 22.9 feet, Water begins to flow over River Road just
  north of Fifth Street in the Mount Carmel area.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 11:00 PM EDT Friday /10:00 PM CDT Friday/ the stage was
    22.6 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 11:00 PM EDT Friday /10:00 PM CDT Friday/ was 25.3
    feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    tomorrow evening and continue falling and remain below flood
    stage.
  - Flood stage is 19.0 feet.

* IMPACTS...At 32.0 feet, Flood waters flow up McHenry slough and
  areas near Route 1 and 14 in Carmi begin to flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:30 PM CDT Friday the stage was 33.3 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall to 28.0 feet Friday,
    April 25.
  - Flood stage is 27.0 feet.

.The Wabash River at New Harmony remains in Minor flood and is
falling.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

  - At 8:30 AM CDT Friday the stage was 19.7 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    late Sunday evening and continue falling to 8.6 feet Monday,
    April 28.
  - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
