...The National Weather Service in Quad Cities IA IL has issued a
Flood Watch for the following rivers in Iowa...

  Cedar River at Vinton affecting Benton County.

  Cedar River at Cedar Rapids affecting Linn County.

  Cedar River AT Palo Blairs Ferry Rd affecting Linn County.

  Cedar River at Cedar Bluff affecting Cedar, Muscatine and Johnson
  Counties.

...The Flood Watch is extended for the following rivers in Iowa...

  Cedar River near Conesville affecting Louisa and Muscatine
  Counties.

...The Flood Watch continues for the following rivers in Iowa...

  Iowa River at Marengo affecting Benton and Iowa Counties.

.Heavy rainfall of 1 to 3 inches fell across portions of central and
eastern Iowa Monday evening, June 21. The combination of heavy rain
this past week, and potentially heavy rains across Iowa and southern
Minnesota in the next 3 days has brought the potential for
significant river flooding on the Cedar River and Iowa River. As
this rainfall materializes the next few days, forecasts for rivers
will become more confident, and flood warnings may be required.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you are in the watch area, remain alert to possible flooding.

The next statement will be issued by Wednesday morning at 1130 AM
CDT.

...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY AFTERNOON UNTIL FURTHER
NOTICE...

* WHAT...Flooding is possible.

* WHERE...Cedar River at Cedar Bluff.

* WHEN...From Monday afternoon until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Water begins to affect access to the
  Sutliff Recreation Bridge. The lowest sections of West Rochester
  Ave north of West Rochester Road are also affected by water,
  limiting access to residents in the Rainbow Valley Subdivision.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 11:00 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 12.0 feet.
  - Forecast...Flood stage may be reached early Monday afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 16.0 feet.

  - Forecast...Flood stage may be reached late Monday morning.
  - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
