...GALE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM WEDNESDAY TO MIDNIGHT
EDT THURSDAY NIGHT...

* WHAT...Northeast winds 20 to 30 kt with gusts up to 40 kt and
  seas 6 to 15 ft expected.

* WHERE...The coastal waters from Ocracoke Inlet to Surf City,
  and the offshore waters from Cape Lookout to Surf City.

* WHEN...From 2 PM Wednesday to midnight EDT Thursday night.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous seas which could
  capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A strong coastal low will develop offshore
  east of North Carolina by Wednesday, then move north towards the
  coast of New England by the end of the week. This low is
  expected to produce an extended period of hazardous marine
  conditions for much of the ENC waters.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions.
Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the
vessel for hazardous conditions.
