DISCUSSION...
Southerly low level winds return overnight tonight once surface
high pressure exits to the southeast. Wind gusts of 20 to 30 mph
are forecast to spread into eastern Oklahoma after midnight
tonight and into northwest Arkansas after 3 AM.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Southerly winds gusting 25 to 35 mph continue through the day
Tuesday which will help to bring much warmer temperatures back
into the region. The combination of these winds, warm
temperatures, and lower humidity will create elevate fire weather
conditions, mainly over portions of southeast Oklahoma Tuesday
afternoon.
Warming trend is forecast to continue through the work week as
gusty southerly winds set up again Thursday and Friday. A low
pressure system and associated cold front look to move through the
Plains over the weekend bringing a return of shower and
thunderstorm chances to eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas.
At this time, a heavy rain threat and also limited severe
potentials exist during the weekend.
