...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Kansas...

  Cow Creek near Hutchinson affecting Rice and Reno Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two
feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don`t
drown.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Additional information is available at www.weather.gov.

The next statement will be issued Friday morning at 745 AM CDT.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL SUNDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
  forecast.

* WHERE...Cow Creek near Hutchinson.

* WHEN...Until Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 11.5 feet, On 82nd Avenue the road floods between
  Wilson Road and Pennington Road.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 7:15 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 10.9 feet and rising.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 11.3
    feet early tomorrow afternoon. It will then fall below flood
    stage Saturday evening.
  - Flood stage is 9.5 feet.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY SATURDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
  forecast. This approaches the flood of record.

* WHERE...Salt Creek near Ada.

* WHEN...Until early Saturday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Minor low land flooding along the Salt
  Creek.
  At 20.0 feet, 50th Road just south of the bridge over the Salt
  Creek floods.
  At 20.2 feet, Deck of 50th Road bridge over the Salt Creek floods.
  At 21.0 feet, Flood waters are over one half mile wide over
  cultivated farm land 3 miles east southeast of the town of Ada.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 7:45 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 21.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    tomorrow afternoon and continue falling to 13.6 feet Tuesday
    morning.
  - Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
