PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two
feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don`t
drown.

  of the river gage site.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 12:45 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 18.5 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    late this evening and continue falling to 9.6 feet early
    Friday afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 17.0 feet.

* WHERE...Walnut River at Arkansas City.

* WHEN...Until tomorrow evening.

* IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Considerable flooding of farmland is
  expected. Widespread flooding of the park just upstream of the
  gage site is anticipated. East Chestnut Avenue east of By-pass is
  closed due to water over roadway. Greens Farm Road floods between
  Highway 166 north to Dunbar Hill.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1:15 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 20.9 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    tomorrow morning and continue falling to 6.1 feet early
    Friday afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 18.0 feet.

* WHERE...Neosho River near Parsons.

* IMPACTS...At 23.0 feet, Flood waters spread over fields to a
  distance of 1 and one fourth miles. Several county roads, mainly
  along the left bank are inundated. Several residents which live
  along the right bank in the vicinity of Highway 400 may experience
  water entering their homes at basement levels.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 12:30 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 24.9 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    tomorrow morning and continue falling to 12.0 feet early
    Friday afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 21.0 feet.

* WHERE...Neosho River at Oswego.

* WHEN...Until Tuesday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 21.0 feet, Xavier Road leading north from the river
  gage bridge floods in that immediate vicinity. Also 13000 Road
  along the north side of the river bank floods. West of the town of
  Faulkner, homes along 120th Street between Star Road and Clem Road
  begin to flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1:15 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 20.6 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 21.2
    feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage early
    tomorrow afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 17.0 feet.

* WHERE...A portion of south central Kansas, including the following
  county, Kingman.

* WHEN...Until 1000 AM CDT Monday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations continues. Numerous roads remain closed
  due to flooding. Streams and lakes continue to rise due to excess
  runoff from earlier rainfall.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 909 AM CDT, emergency management reported ongoing flooding
    in the warned area.
  - No additional rainfall is expected.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Kingman, Norwich, Cunningham, Nashville, Murdock, Waterloo,
    Willowdale, Zenda, Spivey, Cleveland, Penalosa, Kingman
    Airport, Rago, Mt Vernon, Cheney Lake and Cheney State Park.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 839 AM CDT, local law enforcement reported flooding in the
    warned area. Flooding is still occurring.
  - No additional rainfall is expected.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Severy, Fall River, Climax, Fall River Lake, Fall River State
    Park, Piedmont, Cross Timbers State Park, Toronto Lake and
    Beaumont.

* IMPACTS...At 24.0 feet, Three miles west of Belle Plaine near the
  gage site, a small section of K55 floods east of the bridge. Flood
  waters flow over Highway 81 starting at 1/2 mile north of K55 and
  spreading to 100th Avenue. The water on Highway 81 may be near 1.5
  ft deep.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 6:24 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 24.6 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    this afternoon and continue falling to 12.0 feet Friday
    morning.
  - Flood stage is 23.0 feet.
