...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1245 PM HST THIS
AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...The island of Maui in Maui County...

* WHEN...Until 1245 PM HST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding on roads, poor drainage areas, and in
  streams. River or stream flows are elevated.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1103 AM HST, Doppler radar indicated moderate to locally heavy
    rain over East Maui and the slopes of Haleakala. In addition,
    stream gauges remain elevated. Minor flooding is ongoing or
    expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Rain was falling
    at a rate of 0.5 to 1.5 inches per hour. Additional rainfall is
    expected throughout the day.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Nahiku, Keanae, Kipahulu, Kaupo, Hana, Huelo, Makawao, Haiku-
    Pauwela, Haliimaile and Pauwela.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone to
flooding.

A Flood Watch is also in effect.
