6 PM CST FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Southwest winds 15 to 25 kt with gusts up to 30 kt,
  shifting to the northwest 10 to 20 kt with gusts up to 25 kt on
  Friday. Waves building to 3 to 6 ft tonight, subsiding to 2 to
  4 feet on Friday.

* WHERE...Central and Southern Bay of Green Bay.

* WHEN...From 3 PM this afternoon to 6 PM CST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Conditions will be hazardous to small craft.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller

* WHAT...Southwest winds 15 to 25 kt with a few gale force gusts
  up to 35 kt through tonight, shifting to the west at 15 to 25 kt
  on Friday. Greatest risk for gale gusts will be tonight toward
  Sheboygan. Waves building to 6 to 9 ft tonight, then subsiding
  to 1 to 3 feet by late Friday.

* WHERE...Lake Michigan nearshore waters from Washington Island
  to Sheboygan.

* WHEN...From 3 PM this afternoon to 6 PM CST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Conditions will be hazardous to small craft.

...GALE WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM THIS EVENING TO 10 AM EST
FRIDAY...

* WHAT...For the Small Craft Advisory early this morning, waves
  will gradually subside to below 4 feet by 800 am. For the Gale
  Warning tonight into Friday, southwest gales to 40 knots
  developing and waves building to 6 to 10 feet.

* WHERE...St Joseph to Manistee.

* WHEN...For the Small Craft Advisory, until 8 AM EST this
  morning. For the Gale Warning, from 10 PM this evening to 10
  AM EST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous waves which could
  capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The Small Craft Advisory conditions will
  abate this morning as waves fall below 4 feet. A respite is
  expected today with lighter winds and lower wave action as a
  ridge of high pressure moves through. Gale conditions develop
  quickly tonight after dark persisting into Friday morning.
  Southwest gales to 40 knots and waves pushing to 10 feet are
  expected.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions.
Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the
vessel for hazardous conditions.
