...HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM NOON SATURDAY TO 7 PM CDT MONDAY...
* WHAT...Heat index values of 95 to 105 expected Saturday afternoon
and Sunday afternoon, with values of 90 to 95 on Monday afternoon.
The highest heat indexes will occur from central Wisconsin to
northeast Wisconsin. Low temperatures in the mid to upper 70s
Saturday night and Sunday night will provide minimal relief from
the heat and humidity.
* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, north central, and
northeast Wisconsin.
* WHEN...From noon Saturday to 7 PM CDT Monday.
* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
illnesses.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.
