This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and
portions of north central Kansas.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.
A winter weather advisory is in effect for areas along and north
of a line from Geneva to Holdrege to Gothenburg until 3PM this
afternoon.
A mixture of precipitation, including freezing rain and snow,
will continue to impact the area through the rest of the morning
and the early afternoon hours. Light ice accumulations is
possible, though snow should quickly become the predominate
precipitation type by the later morning hours. Periods of snow
will linger through midday with snow amounts ranging from a trace
to about 3 inches. Falling snow will end from west to east around
midday today.
Strong winds late this morning through the evening hours will
gust up to 35 to 45 mph and cause some blowing and drifting snow
for areas that received 2 or more inches of snow.
Wind chills will be near to slightly below zero tonight.

Wind chills will be near to slightly below zero early Sunday.
Another round of light snow will move across parts of the area on
Monday morning and may bring a inch or so fluffy snow
accumulations.

Light to moderate snow is falling this morning and could be followed
by a brief period of freezing rain, bringing impacts to travel. Snow
accumulations up to 2 inches and a light glaze of ice is expected.
A Wind Advisory remains in effect through 6 PM this evening. Northwest
winds of 20 to 30 MPH with gusts up to 45 MPH are expected through
the day.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.
A more widespread accumulating snow is expected Monday, with one to
three inches of snow currently forecast.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of western and north
central Nebraska.
.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.
Additional light snow will continue this morning, ending by the
afternoon. Strong northwesterly winds gusting up to 40 to 45 mph will
lead to areas of blowing and drifting snow. The combination of slick
roads and reduced visibility will again lead to difficult travel
conditions across much of the area before winds diminish this
evening.
Additionally, wind chills this morning are expected to remain near or
below zero degrees. The cold temperatures and strong winds this
afternoon will generally keep wind chills in the single digits today.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.
Sub-zero wind chills are likely both Sunday and Monday mornings.
Additional light snow is possible Sunday night into Monday morning across
southwest Nebraska. At this time, snowfall amounts are expected to
be generally under one inch.

A second weather system looks to bring the first snowfall of the

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for southwest Iowa, west central
Iowa, east central Nebraska, northeast Nebraska and southeast
Nebraska.
.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.
Conditions will continue to deteriorate today due to a wintry mix of
snow, sleet, and freezing rain or freezing drizzle. A change over to
all snow is expected Saturday morning.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.
Travel will become very difficult to impossible in some areas on
Saturday due to some ice accumulation and considerable blowing and
drifting snow. If you have travel plans, consider delaying them.
Strong north winds are expected late Saturday morning into Saturday
night with gusts of 30-40 mph. Blowing and drifting snow will
continue through Saturday night, after the snow has ended. A Winter
Storm Warning and Winter Weather Advisory remain in effect through Saturday
night.

Winds will begin to weaken after sunset. Otherwise, wind chills in
the single digits to low teens are anticipated overnight into
early Sunday morning.

Wind chills in the single digits to low teens are again expected
Sunday night into Monday morning. Light snow is probable daytime

and may continue through sunrise. Be alert for sudden visibility
reductions and slick spots while traveling.
Wind gusts between 45 and 60 mph from the north are forecast through
the morning hours. Strong wind gusts may create dangerous travel
conditions, especially for high profile vehicles.
