* IMPACTS...At 9.5 feet, Water floods agricultural lowlands and
woodlands adjacent to the river.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 3:45 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 7.0 feet.
- Bankfull stage is around 9.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is currently expected to rise to a crest
right around the 9.5 foot flood stage late Thursday night
into early Friday morning, then slowly fall over the coming
days.
- Minor flood stage is 9.5 feet.

agricultural land.

- At 2:45 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 16.8 feet, and slowly
falling.
- Bankfull stage is 15.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum stage in the last 24 hours was
18.3 feet, which occurred earlier Thursday morning.
- Forecast...The creek is expected to fall below minor flood
stage this evening and continue a slow fall over the next
several days, falling to 7.8 feet by Tuesday afternoon.
- Minor flood stage is 16.5 feet.

- At 1:45 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 8.4 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 9.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
this evening to a crest of 11.2 feet tomorrow morning. It
will then fall below flood stage Saturday morning.
- Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
11.8 feet on 02/23/2007.

* WHERE...Portions of central and south central Nebraska, including
the following counties, in central Nebraska, Howard, Merrick and
Sherman. In south central Nebraska, Adams, Buffalo, Franklin, Hall
and Kearney.
* WHEN...Until 1000 AM CDT Friday.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1009 AM CDT, Extensive flooding from Wednesday night`s
rainfall will likely continue through tonight. Rainfall
amounts of 3 to 8 inches were recorded with over 7 inches in
Grand Island. Flooding of small creeks/streams and mainly
rural county roads will likely continue.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Oak Creek, Warm Slough, Loup River, Prairie Slough, Sand
Creek, Silver Creek, Little Blue River, Middle Branch
Thompson Creek, Cow Creek, South Loup River, Flash Creek,
East Branch Thompson Creek, West Branch Thirtytwo Mile Creek,
Buckeye Creek, Sweet Creek, Big Slough, Lake Creek, Deer
Creek, Cherry Creek, Lincoln Creek, Wood River, Scott Creek,
Beaver Creek, North Branch West Fork Big Blue River, Box
Elder Creek, Flat Creek, Turkey Creek, South Branch Sand
Creek, West Fork Big Blue River, Thirtytwo Mile Creek, Elk

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, and south central
Nebraska, including the following counties, in central Nebraska,
Merrick and Nance. In east central Nebraska, Polk and York. In
south central Nebraska, Hamilton.
* WHEN...Until 700 PM CDT Friday.
* IMPACTS...Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from
earlier rainfall. Many county roads are experiencing flooding and
flooding is likely to continue along some of the creeks into
Friday and possibly longer especially along Silver Creek, Prairie
Creek, and Clear Creek.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 938 AM CDT, Trained weather spotters reported heavy
rainfall Wednesday night across the warned area. Flooding is
already occurring. Between 3 and 8 inches of rain have fallen
with the heaviest 6 to 8 inch amounts generally running from
Chapman, to Archer, to Central City, to Clarks and Silver
Creek.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Warm Slough, Looking Glass Creek, Prairie Slough, Silver
Creek, Big Blue River, Clear Creek, Council Creek, Skeedee
Creek, Lincoln Creek, Wood River, Big Blue River, Beaver
Creek, Horse Creek, Davis Creek, Elk Creek, Moores Creek,
Prairie Creek, and Plum Creek.
Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
expected.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Central City, Stromsburg, Osceola, Shelby, Palmer, Clarks,
Silver Creek, Polk, Chapman, Phillips, Marquette, Hordville
and Archer.
