The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Yavapai County including Kirkland and Yava in west central Arizona...

* Until 830 PM MST.

* At 521 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area mainly west of Highway 89
  including Kirkland and Yava. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have
  fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible
  in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
  shortly.

  HAZARD...Life-threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Life-threatening flash flooding of low-water
           crossings, creeks, normally dry washes and roads.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Hillside, Weaver Peak, Hawkins, Wilhoit, Yava, Kirkland, Ferguson
  Place Windmill, Date and Skull Valley.

This includes State Route 96 between mile markers 14 and 21.

This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers...
  Waterman Creek, Santa Maria River, Skull Valley Wash, Poplar Wash,
  Quail Spring Wash, South Fork Santa Maria River, Eastwood Creek,
  Tank Creek, North Fork Date Creek, Sycamore Creek, Logan Wash,
  Cottonwood Creek, Woolsey Wash, Copper Basin Wash, Date Creek,
  Bland Creek, Alkali Wash, Tank Wash, Finch Wash and Kirkland Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Flooding of washes and creeks will occur, some dirt roads will
become muddy and impassable. Paved roads and underpasses could
become flooded as well.

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Yavapai County east of Cordes in west central Arizona...

* Until 700 PM MST.

* At 356 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area, east of Interstate 17 at
  Cordes. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen over a large
  area. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in
  the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
  shortly.

  HAZARD...Life-threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Life-threatening flash flooding of low-water
           crossings, creeks, normally dry washes and roads.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Agua Fria National Monument, Dugas, Cedar Bench Wilderness and
  Pine Mountain Wilderness.

This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers...
  Indian Creek, Verde River, Chasm Creek, Little Ash Creek, Cienega
  Creek, Copper Creek, Little Sycamore Creek, Sycamore Creek, Silver
  Creek, Dry Creek, Houston Creek, South Prong Sycamore Creek, Cold
  Water Creek, Bishop Creek, Pigeon Creek, Ash Creek, Big Bug Creek,
  Agua Fria River and Gap Creek.
