002, 013, 014, 015, 022, AND 027...

The National Weather Service in Grand Forks has issued a Red Flag
Warning, which is in effect until 9 PM CDT this evening.

* AFFECTED AREA...In North Dakota, Barnes, Cass, Ransom, Sargent
  and Richland.

* WIND...Sustained winds to 30 MPH, gusts up to 45 MPH

* HUMIDITY...Relative humidity as low as 20%

* IMPACTS...Any fires that ignite will spread rapidly and
  become difficult to control. Outdoor burning is not
  recommended.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... Behind a surface trough, strong west to
  northwest winds gusts will be increasing to 45 MPH in the
  afternoon. Daytime heating amid clear skies and dry air will
  decrease RH values lower than 25%. This will lead to erratic
  fire behavior of any fires that develop.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of

...THE PASSAGE OF A COLD FRONT TO BRING RED FLAG CONDITIONS TO
WEST CENTRAL MINNESOTA THIS AFTERNOON...

.A cold front will pass through west central MN around noon
today. Southwest winds will become west-northwest behind the
front, with the winds gusting to as high as 40 mph this
afternoon. To go with those winds, afternoon humidity values are
expected to fall to between 20 and 25 percent, resulting in
critical fire weather conditions.

DAKOTA THROUGH THIS EVENING...

.A cold front will continue to move through western and central
North Dakota today with strong west to northwest winds up to 45
mph and gusts to 65 mph expected through the day and into the
evening. By late morning, through the afternoon, and into the
evening, relative humidities are expected to drop as low as 22
percent. When combined with the very strong winds, an extended
period of critical fire weather conditions is likely for most of
western and much of central North Dakota today.
