Sunday, though winds will be slightly lower at 30-35 mph with
slightly higher minimum RH values in the upper 30s to low 40s.

weather.

246 PM CDT Sat Oct 4 2025
This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central Illinois, east
central Illinois and west central Illinois.
.DAY ONE...Tonight.
With the ongoing warm and dry weather, low humidity levels this
afternoon will result in an elevated risk of fires getting out of
control.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.
The fire risk will increase on Sunday, as southerly winds gust from
20 to 30 mph and afternoon humidity levels drop below 30 percent.
Burning is not advised, and people involved in harvest activities
should use extra caution to avoid accidentally creating field fires.
In addition, the gusty winds may cause localized visibility
reductions from blowing dust, where loose topsoil is lofted into the
air.
Scattered thunderstorms are expected Monday through Tuesday, though
the severe weather threat is low.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotter activation is not anticipated tonight.
