...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 915 AM CDT SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of central Iowa, including the following county,
  Marshall.

* WHEN...Until 915 AM CDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams may
  continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 917 PM CDT, Rain and river gauge reports indicated heavy
    rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to
    begin shortly in the warned area.
  - This includes the following streams and drainages...
    Timber Creek near and downstream from Smith Avenue.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    mainly rural areas of East Central Marshall County


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

18...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Iowa River at Marengo.

* WHEN...From Saturday afternoon to Friday, July 18.

* IMPACTS...At 17.0 feet, Moderate Flood Stage. Extensive inundation
  of agricultural land.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:00 PM CDT Friday the stage was 11.6 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage tomorrow
    afternoon to 15.1 feet tomorrow evening. It will then fall to
    flood stage early Sunday morning. It will rise to 16.9 feet
    early Monday afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage
    Thursday evening.
  - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
