* WHAT...Lake effect snow. Additional snow accumulations up to two
  inches.

* WHERE...Southern Lake County.

* WHEN...Until midnight CST tonight.

* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
  likely become slick and hazardous. Localized whiteout conditions
  are possible due to falling and blowing snow creating visibility
  around 1/4 mile, especially along Highway 61 on the North Shore.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Lake effect snow bands will push across
  southern Lake County this evening. Localized snowfall amounts in
  excess of 3 inches are possible, especially in higher terrain.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Lake effect snow bands and showers are expected to create conditions
ranging from locally heavy snow to dry weather just a few miles
away. Visibilities can also vary greatly. Be prepared for rapid
changes in weather, visibility, and road conditions.

* WHAT...Lake effect snow expected. Total snow accumulations between
  2 and 6 inches with the highest amounts in the higher terrain.

* WHERE...Ashland, Bayfield, Douglas, and Iron Counties. This
  includes the Tribal Lands of the Red Cliff Band, the northwestern
  area of the Lac du Flambeau Band and the Bad River Reservation.
  Other locations including the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore
  and Madeline Island.

* WHEN...Until 6 AM CST Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A quick moving lake effect snow band is
  expected to move across the South Shore beginning early this
  evening through the overnight hours. Snowfall rates in excess of 1
  inch per hour and total snow accumulations over 6 inches are
  possible.

...SNOW CONTINUES THROUGH THE EVENING, WITH THE HIGHEST ACCUMULATION
EXPECTED ACROSS SOUTHERN MINNESOTA INTO WESTERN WISCONSIN THROUGH
SATURDAY EVENING...

.Light snow will persist throughout the day today, with moderate
intensity at times across southern Minnesota. Snow will then
gradually diminish from west to east across MN into WI this evening
through early morning Sunday.

Several inches of accumulation, including over 6 inches of total
accumulation near and south of a line from Redwood Falls to Le Sueur
to Cannon Falls MN. The heaviest snow will fall around the Interstate
90 corridor in southern Minnesota, with upwards of 10 inches of total
accumulation through late tonight possible. Lighter amounts are
expected from west central Minnesota through the Twin Cities metro
through Bloomer WI and points northward of that line.

This snow will continue to cause slick roads and travel impacts.
Overall, travelers should use extra caution and allow for extra
travel time, including the possibility of moderate prolonged snowfall
at times, which may lead to hazardous travel conditions.
