* WHERE...Aughwick Creek at Shirleysburg.

* WHEN...Until late tomorrow morning. Water levels are now expected
  to continue to slowly rise through this evening, with a crest just
  under 13 feet later tonight.

* IMPACTS...At 10.0 feet, Aughwick Creek at Shirleysburg exceeds its
  banks. Several homes are affected.
  At 12.0 feet, Flood waters from Aughwick Creek cover portions of
  Gilbo Road, Aughwick Mills Road and Keystone Road in Shirley
  Township.
  At 13.2 feet, Route 522 closes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 3:30 PM EDT Wednesday the stage was 12.4 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 3:30 PM EDT Wednesday was 12.4 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 12.8
    feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage late
    tomorrow morning.
  - Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of

  at the Point of Rocks boat ramp. The upper parking lot at the
  Point of Rocks boat ramp begins to flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 3:30 PM EDT Wednesday the stage was 11.1 feet, or 4.9 feet
    below flood stage.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    this evening to a crest of 23.8 feet tomorrow morning. It
    will then fall below flood stage Friday afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of

  towpath, but also to roads and structures.

  - At 10:00 AM EDT Wednesday the stage was 10.1 feet, or 4.9
    feet below flood stage.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    late this afternoon to a crest of 21.8 feet just after
    midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage Friday
    afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
