...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL LATE TUESDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Major flooding is occurring and record flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Canoochee River near Claxton.

* WHEN...Until late Tuesday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, several homes will be impacted by flood
  waters along Highway 169 near the Canoochee River.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1115 AM EST Friday, the stage was 17.9 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 18.8
    feet this evening. This exceeds the record of 18.1 feet which
    occurred in August during Tropical Storm Debby. The river
    will fall below flood stage late Tuesday morning.
  - Flood stage is 11.0 feet.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY SUNDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Ogeechee River at Midville.

* WHEN...Until early Sunday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 6.0 feet, the access road into the River Bluff
  community in Midville floods. The lower portion of Johnson Road
  near Herndon is also flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1000 AM EST Friday, the stage was 6.4 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 6.6
    feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage early
    Sunday morning.
  - Flood stage is 6.0 feet.

* IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, flooding of several riverside unimproved
  roads and some agricultural land occurs.
  At 17.5 feet, water enters the ground level of homes in the Joy
  Bluff community. The access road becomes covered with water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1000 AM EST Friday, the stage was 16.7 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 17.3
    feet early Saturday morning.
  - Flood stage is 11.0 feet.

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in South
Carolina...

  North Fork Edisto River At Orangeburg affecting Orangeburg County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Most flooding deaths occur in vehicles. Never drive through a
flooded roadway or around barricades. Turn around, don`t drown.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Flooded roadways are nearly impossible to see at night. Avoid
traveling in this area. Turn around, don`t drown.

Residents and those with interests near the river should monitor
rising water levels and take action if necessary.

* WHAT...Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
  A record crest of 15.34 ft was reached.

* WHERE...North Fork Edisto River at Orangeburg.

* WHEN...Until Monday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 8.0 feet, Some minor flooding occurs along the
  boardwalk at Edisto Gardens. Downstream from the Highway 301
  bridge, some roads off Chiquita street near the river begin to
  flood.
  At 10.0 feet, Farmland and lowlands along Highway 301 near
  Orangeburg become flooded at stages above 10 ft.
  At 11.0 feet, The river exceeds levee diking at stages above 11
  ft. Large areas in the city of Orangeburg will be flooded.
  At 12.0 feet, Secondary roads near Orangeburg become flooded at
  stages above 12 ft. Extensive farmland and lowlands downstream
  from Orangeburg will be flooded.
  At 14.0 feet, The dike along the river in the city of Orangeburg
  will be topped. Extensive areas of the city including US Highway
  301 and the Edisto Memorial Gardens will be flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:00 AM EST Friday the stage was 14.3 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 10:00 AM EST Friday was 15.3 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    Sunday evening and continue falling to 7.3 feet Wednesday
    morning.
  - Flood stage is 8.0 feet.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 945 AM EST SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall
  continues.

* WHERE...A portion of central South Carolina, including the
  following counties, Bamberg and Orangeburg.

* WHEN...Until 945 AM EST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads
  remain closed due to flooding. Streams continue to rise due to
  excess runoff from earlier rainfall.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 839 AM EST, emergency management reported heavy rain in
    the warned area due to thunderstorms. Flooding is already
    occurring. Between 6 and 12 inches of rain have fallen. The
    North Fork of the Edisto has crested, however, water
    continues to flow south into the South Fork. The water will
    remain high on the South Fork especially near Branchville.
  - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
    expected.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    mainly rural areas of Northeastern Bamberg and Southwestern
    Orangeburg Counties
