...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM EST THIS
MORNING...

* WHAT...Very cold temperatures of 15 to 25 below zero, locally
  colder expected.

* WHERE...Central Piscataquis, Northern Penobscot, Southeast
  Aroostook, Northeast Aroostook, Northwest Aroostook, Northern
  Piscataquis, and Northern Somerset Counties.

* WHEN...Until 10 AM EST this morning.

* IMPACTS...Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin
  is exposed to these temperatures. Very cold temperatures can lead
  to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.

Keep pets indoors as much as possible.

MORNING...

* WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 15 to 25 below.

* WHERE...In New York, Southeastern St. Lawrence, Southern Franklin,
  Western Clinton, and Western Essex Counties. In Vermont,
  Caledonia, Essex, and Orleans Counties.

* WHEN...Until 10 AM EST this morning.

* IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 15 to 25
  below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as
  30 minutes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Wind chill temperatures for mountain peaks
  are expected to be even colder, between 25 and 40 degrees below
  zero.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
