...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN MECKLENBURG...
SOUTHEASTERN GASTON AND NORTHEASTERN YORK COUNTIES THROUGH 1115 PM
EDT...

At 1039 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8
miles west of Uptown Charlotte, or near Charlotte Douglas Airport,
moving south at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Southwest Charlotte, Tega Cay, Cramerton, Steele Creek, Charlotte
Douglas Airport, Carowinds, Lake Wylie, Belmont, and Central
Charlotte.

At 1024 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Carnesville. This storm was nearly stationary.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Carnesville, Lavonia, Canon, Victoria Bryant State Park, Franklin
Springs, and Martin.
