...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM MDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding along Bijou Creek caused by excessive rainfall.

* WHERE...Rural and low lying areas along Bijou Creek in northern
  Elbert, Central Adams, Central Arapahoe, and southwestern Morgan
  Counties.

* WHEN...Until 900 PM MDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding along Bijou Creek.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

    - At 1204 PM MDT, Local law enforcement reported flooding had
    occurred along Bijou Creek through Adams County. Water had caused
    closer of a couple county roads, but they have since reopened.
    Water had also crested and spilled onto Colfax Avenue in rural
    Adams County. The crest has passed this area, but will continue
    moving downstream and affect areas farther north through the Hoyt
    area and toward the confluence with the South Platte River in
    Morgan County.

    - This includes the following streams and drainages...
    West Bijou Creek and Bijou Creek.

    - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    rural and low lying areas along Bijou Creek.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
