North Dakota, northwest North Dakota, south central North Dakota,
southeast North Dakota, and southwest North Dakota.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for most of western and
central North Dakota due to freezing rain this morning, and for
accumulating snow in the Turtle Mountains area this afternoon

A High Wind Warning is in effect this morning through tonight
across western and central North Dakota. See weather.gov/bis for
details.

Dangerously cold wind chills are possible Thursday evening through

This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of eastern North
Dakota and northwest Minnesota.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight
Winter Storm Warning is in effect today through Wednesday morning.
Light ice accumulations and moderate to heavy snow will lead to
difficult travel across much of the northern and central Red River
Valley. Total snowfall accumulations of 2-6 inches are possible,
along with blowing snow and sharply reduced visibility. There is
the potential for a narrow band of higher snowfall totals up to 8
inches.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday
Wind chills as low as 40 below zero are possible Thursday night
through Saturday night as overnight lows fall into the teens to
20s below zero.

light ice accumulations and accumulating snowfall ranging from
2-4 inches. Travel impacts are expected. Wind gusts could approach
60 mph late this afternoon into the evening and early overnight hours.

Wind chills ranging from 40 below to 30 below zero are possible
Thursday night through Saturday night as overnight lows fall into

Northwest winds will become strong today, with gusts of 50 to 65

The Grassland Fire Danger will be in the high to extreme category
today.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday
Unsettled and colder weather is expected for the second half of
the week, with daily chances of snow. Amounts are still uncertain
but could be moderate in some areas. Light freezing rain will also
be possible Wednesday night and Thursday morning.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for west central Minnesota, north
central South Dakota and northeast South Dakota.
.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.
Freezing rain is expected across portions of north central and
northeast South Dakota and west central Minnesota this morning into
early this afternoon before temperatures warm up enough for
precipitation to fall as rain.
Very strong northwest winds are expected this afternoon through
tonight. Sustained winds in excess of 40 mph, gusting in excess of
60 mph, are expected over north central South Dakota this afternoon
into tonight. Over northeast South Dakota and west central Minnesota
sustained winds in excess of 30 mph, gusting in excess of 50 mph,
are expected from early this evening through the overnight hours.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.
If falling snow happens across far northeast South Dakota Tuesday
night into early Wednesday morning while these strong winds are
happening, considerable blowing snow and reduction to visibility
could be possible.
