This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southeast
Minnesota...northeast Iowa and southwest into central Wisconsin.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight

Isolated non-severe storms possible this afternoon.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday

Severe storms are possible Thursday afternoon and early evening.
Currently, the higher risk lies east of the Mississippi River.
Very large hail and tornadoes will be the primary threats.
Damaging winds will also be possible. Hail size may exceed
2 inches in diameter and a stronger tornado cannot be ruled out.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotters may be needed east of the Mississippi River between 2 PM
and 7 PM Thursday. Spotters in Wisconsin north of Interstate 90
have the highest chance of being needed.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for north-central and northeast
Wisconsin.

.DAY ONE...Tonight

Scattered thunderstorms until early evening from central to
north- central Wisconsin.

Dense fog is likely for eastern areas again tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Wednesday

A broken line of strong thunderstorms will cross northern WI
between 4 and 9 PM Thursday. Some severe storms are likely with
the passage of a cold front. All hazards possible over central WI
and large hail possible over eastern WI.

Gusty southwest winds up to 45 mph are possible for the Fox
Valley on Friday.

Illinois...northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

  Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
  Elevated Fog Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Isolated thunderstorms are possible through early evening, mainly
inland of Lake Michigan. Severe weather is not expected with this
activity. Additional isolated non severe thunderstorms are
possible late tonight.

Dense fog may develop over Lake Michigan tonight and expand inland
to as far west as the I-90 corridor across northeast Illinois.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

  Limited Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
     Level 3 of 5 Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
  Elevated Fire Weather Risk.
Friday...
  Significant Fire Weather Risk.
  Limited Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
     Level 1 of 5 Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Tuesday...
  Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Isolated to scattered thunderstorms may develop ahead of a cold
front late Thursday afternoon and shift east-northeast into the
evening. If thunderstorms develop, some will likely become severe
with damaging to destructive hail being the greatest threat.
There may also be a damaging wind threat and a tornado threat
with some storms.

Late Thursday afternoon into the early evening, hot and dry
conditions and gusty southwest winds behind the cold front may
bring a brief period of elevated fire danger for portions of
northern and central Illinois.

On Friday, strong west-southwest winds and very warm and dry
conditions will result in potentially significant fire danger. A
few thunderstorms with the potential for locally damaging winds
cannot be ruled out late afternoon and early evening.

  Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.

evening. Best chance for severe storms is in northwest Wisconsin.
All hazards are expected.

Isolated thunderstorms this evening over eastern Minnesota into
western Wisconsin. Strong to severe storms are not expected.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Scattered thunderstorms can be expected over western Minnesota
Thursday morning. A few storms may be strong to severe, possibly
producing large hail, damaging winds or a tornado or two. There is
a Slight (Level 2 of 5) Risk of severe thunderstorms over western
Minnesota.

Scattered thunderstorms can be expected from western Minnesota
into western Wisconsin Thursday into Thursday evening. A few
storms may be strong to severe over eastern MN into western WI,
possibly producing large hail, damaging winds or a few tornados.
There is an Enhanced (Level 3 of 5) Risk of severe thunderstorms
over eastern MN into western WI, a Slight (Level 2 of 5) Risk of
severe thunderstorms over central MN and a Marginal (Level 1 of
5) Risk of severe thunderstorms over western and far southern MN
for Thursday.

Strong west winds, with gusts of 40 to 50 mph, will be possible
on Friday across western through southern Minnesota.

SKYWARN spotter activation may be needed Thursday morning in
western MN and on Thursday in eastern MN into western WI.

Showers and storms are possible late this afternoon and early
evening in northern Illinois and northeast Iowa. Brief heavy
downpours and lightning are the main threats.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY

There is the potential for thunderstorms Thursday afternoon
into the early evening, but confidence is low that they will
occur. If they develop, these storms may quickly become severe
east of a Manchester Iowa, to Geneseo Illinois line. All modes of
severe weather would be possible.

Isolated thunderstorms are forecast during the afternoon today
inland from Lake Michigan, particularly northwest of Madison.

Fog from Lake Michigan may return to eastern Wisconsin again
tonight into early Thursday morning.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Wednesday

A level 3 out of 5 risk for severe thunderstorms is forecast
Thursday afternoon and evening. All hazards are possible,
including large to very large hail, tornadoes, and damaging wind
gusts.

Thunderstorms will be possible Friday as well. A couple storms may
reach severe levels.

mainly north of Interstate 80.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday

A few strong storms are possible Thursday, mainly north of Highway
20. Strong non-thunderstorm winds may occur at times Thursday,
Thursday night and Friday with gusts over 45 mph possible.

Additional chances for thunderstorms arrive Sunday night and into
early next week.
