...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 830 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of south central and southeast Virginia,
  including the following counties, in south central Virginia,
  Prince George. In southeast Virginia, Isle of Wight, Southampton,
  Surry and Sussex.

* WHEN...Until 830 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 624 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of
    rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Waverly, Wakefield, Claremont, Surry, Dendron, Elberon, Cabin
    Point, Carsley, Ellis Fork, Spring Grove, Gwaltney Corner,
    Runnymede, Savedge, Booth Fork, Beachland, Delk Crossroads,
    Oak Hill Corner, Alliance, Pons and Barham.

    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
    have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 2 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...

* WHEN...Until 830 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 635 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms will move into the area over the next hour.
    Additional heavy rainfall is expected on top of the 1 to 3
    inches of rain that has already fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Dunn, Benson, Erwin, Four Oaks, Newton Grove, Falcon and
    Spivey`s Corner.
